For so many people across the world, ringing in the new year is an opportunity to set goals for the year ahead. At Comic Relief US, we're no different. To us, the new year means a renewed sense of purpose towards our goal: of a just world free from poverty.
But what would that look like – and how do we get there?
We recently sat down with a few of our friends to ask them that very question: What does a just world free from poverty look like to you?
Take a look at some of what they had to say in the video below.
Our renewed commitment means that we're working even harder in 2020 to be a part of that change.
... And we're off to a pretty good start. In just 5 five years, supporters like you have helped Comic Relief US raise more than $250 million, making a difference for millions of people in need here in the U.S. and around the world.
Here’s a quick look at what your support has been able to accomplish. Make sure to check out the links below to learn much more about the impact you've made through our programs!
Our annual Red Nose Day campaign to end child poverty has raised $200 million in just five years, positively impacting nearly 25 million children here at home and around the world. We're proud to have been a part of changing so many children's lives – and thank you so much for your continued support.
Through Hand in Hand: a benefit for Hurricane Relief, you helped us raised over $62 million to assist those affected by the 2017 Atlantic hurricanes. We were blown away by the immediate and overwhelming generosity that people across American showed that night.
Looking back on our first five years – we're more energized than ever about the future and what we can accomplish together.
When we come together, anything is possible.
With your continued support in the coming year and beyond, there’s no telling how much more we can accomplish.
Thank you for everything you do,
The Comic Relief US Team
