Where Homeless LGBTQ+ Young People Find a Fresh Start
LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness can find a lifeline at the Ali Forney Center. With the support of Comic Relief US, AFC provides these young people with the tools they need to live independently and get their lives back on track. You can meet a few of them in this video.
More than 25 percent of LGBTQ+ youth will face housing instability at some point, and AFC is one of the only providers in New York City offering specialized housing that specifically caters to these teens and young adults.
Since 2015, Comic Relief US has provided $51 million towards safety programs, positively impacting the lives of nearly 2 million children and young people.
