Putting Children at the Forefront of Pandemic Recovery

One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, the vaccine roll-out is paving a path forward. Yet, as things get better for some, many children and youth are at risk of being left behind.

Children have been among the most harshly impacted by COVID-19 with more than 4 in 10 children living in a household struggling to meet its basic needs, such as education, food insecurity, shelter, and wellness. The pandemic has both exacerbated and highlighted inequities faced by children who are living in poverty.

This webinar convened nonprofit industry leaders to explore

  • The state of affairs for children and families living in poverty one year following the onset of COVID-19;
  • How nonprofits and communities have adapted to meet the needs of those disproportionately impacted by the pandemic; and
  • Steps that donors, funders, corporates, and others can take to ensure that children are at the forefront of pandemic recovery.

Speakers:

  • Alison Moore, CEO, Comic Relief US (Moderator)
  • Adam Fraser, Chief Executive, Laureus Sport for Good
  • Meralis Hood, Market President, City Year
  • Casey Marsh, Chief Development Officer, Feeding America
