Childhood Dreamstakes (“Dreamstakes”)
NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
ELIGIBILITY: OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 18 OR OLDER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees (and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse or sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Comic Relief, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Dreamstakes. Dreamstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
DREAMSTAKES PERIOD: The Dreamstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on May 6, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on June 3, 2024 (“Dreamstakes Period”).
TO ENTER: During the Dreamstakes Period, there are two (2) ways to enter:
1) Donation Method: Visit rednoseday.org/dreamstakes and follow the directions provided to make a donation and complete and submit the entry form, including selecting into which prize drawings you wish to be entered. You will receive one (1) entry into one selected prize drawing for each $5 donated. All entries via this method must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 3, 2024 to be eligible.
2) Mail-in Method: To enter without making a donation, on a 3” x 5” card, handprint your name, address, telephone number, email address, and the list of prize drawings into which you wish to be entered and mail same in a handprinted envelope with proper postage affixed to: Childhood Dreamstakes Entry c/o Comic Relief, Inc., 120 Broadway, New York, NY 10271, to be postmarked by June 3, 2024 and received by no later than June 7, 2024. Each mail-in entry will equal one (1) entry into one specified prize drawing handwritten on the entry. Note: If any mail-in entry simply says “all of them” or any variation of the same, it will be disqualified. Each prize drawing must be handwritten on the entry. Stamped and mechanically reproduced entries will be void. Limit one (1) mail-in entry per stamped outer envelope. Limit thirty five (35) mail-in entries per prize pool per individual for the entire dreamstakes.
Limit thirty-five (35) entries per prize drawing per individual, regardless of method of entry or amount donated. Entries received in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Entries generated by script, mechanical, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
DRAWINGS/ODDS: Potential winners will be selected in random drawings held on or about June 14, 2024 from all eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. Nonwinning entries from one drawing will not be included in any other drawing.
WINNER NOTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: Potential winners will be notified by email and required to execute and return an Affidavit (or Declaration) of Eligibility, Liability and, unless prohibited, Publicity Release as well as an IRS Form W-9 and any additional documents which may be required by the prize provider/supplier within the time period stated in the notification. If a potential winner does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated in the email notification, does not return all required documentation within the time period stated, or if a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or such potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules or declines the prize, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner selected for the drawing at issue.
PRIZES:
Hot Air Balloon With Your Face On It Prize: Prize includes a trip for winner and one (1) guest to a location to be determined by Sponsor where winner will see their face on a hot air balloon and winner and a guest will ride in the hot air balloon. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) will not exceed: $4500. Winner will be required to provide Sponsor with a photo for use in creating the hot air balloon in a format and file size to be specified by Sponsor. See Travel Conditions/Restrictions below for additional prize details.
Eat A Life-Sized Cookie of Yourself Prize: Winner will receive a life-sized cookie of themselves based on a photo to be provided by the winner. ARV will not exceed: $4500. Crush A Car in a Monster Truck: Prize includes a trip for winner and one (1) guest to a location to be determined by Sponsor where winner will have the opportunity to be a passenger in a monster truck as it crushes a car. ARV will not exceed: $4500. See Travel Conditions/Restrictions below for additional prize details.
Befriend a Penguin: Prize includes a trip for winner and one (1) guest to a penguin sanctuary to be determined by Sponsor where winner will have the opportunity to interact with penguins while being supervised by their handlers. ARV will note exceed: $4500. See Travel Conditions/Restrictions below for additional prize details.
Own a Cotton Candy Castle: Winner will receive a castle (i.e. playhouse-sized) made from edible cotton candy. ARV will not exceed: $4500.
Erupt a Giant Model Volcano: Winner will have the opportunity to erupt a model volcano of at least 5 feet in height (at a location to be determined by Sponsor within a reasonable distance of winner’s residence) ARV will not exceed: $4500. Winner may invite guests, the exact number of which will be provided by Sponsor once a location has been selected. All guests will be required to execute a liability and publicity release to attend the eruption.
Prize package where travel is included includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to the designated location; two (2) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (one (1) room, double occupancy, room rate and tax only); and roundtrip ground transportation between airport and hotel and hotel and event. All travel arrangements will be made through Sponsor’s agent. Winner must travel on the dates determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion or prize will be forfeited. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to select travel dates acceptable to winner. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and blackout dates. Travel must be round trip. Sponsor will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this dreamstakes, and those set forth by the Sponsor’s airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs associated with prize acceptance and use not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, gratuities, baggage fees, passenger tariffs or duties, airline fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of winner. Unless child of winner, guest must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. Guest must execute a liability/publicity travel release prior to issuance of travel documents. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. If in the judgment of Sponsor air travel is not required due to winner’s proximity to prize location, ground transportation will be substituted for round trip air travel at Sponsor’s sole discretion and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Actual value may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Winner will not receive difference between actual and approximate retail value. Sponsor is not responsible if prize experience is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason in which event that portion of prize is forfeited in its entirety, no substitution will be provided except as in Sponsor’s sole discretion, and Sponsor will have no further obligation to the winner. Winner agrees to abide by any terms, conditions and restrictions provided by the prize provider/supplier. Winner and guest agree to abide by all venue/prize experience rules and regulations. Failure to do may result in forfeiture of prize.
Each winner understands (and will cause their guest(s) to understand) that the prize experience may be filmed, photographed and otherwise recorded from start to finish, including before and after footage, by Sponsor (“Prize Footage”). The Prize Footage shall be owned by Sponsor. Winner further understands (and will cause their guest(s) to understand) that Sponsor, its designees, successors, assigns and licensees, shall have the right to edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works based upon, or otherwise exploit the Prize Footage and all elements embodied therein, along with winner’s name, biographical information, likeness, performance, voice or image, in whole or in part, together with other materials, in any manner or media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world in perpetuity for advertising, promotional and other purposes, without further compensation, notification or permission. Sponsor has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Prize Footage by third parties.
Total ARV of all prizes: will not exceed $27,000. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. All federal, state and local taxes, if any, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Prizes will only be delivered within the 50 U.S. and DC. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, in any manner, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY/GENERAL CONDITIONS: Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, service agencies, prize providers/suppliers. independent contractors, advertising and promotion agencies, web hosting and service and fulfillment providers, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this dreamstakes.
Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, postage-due or garbled emails, notifications, mail, entries, or other communications of any kind; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the dreamstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the dreamstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any dreamstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the dreamstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Dreamstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Dreamstakes or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Dreamstakes should any portion of the Dreamstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries. If terminated, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select the potential winner(s) for the drawing(s) at issue from all eligible, non-suspect entries received for such drawing(s) prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.

WINNERS LIST: To receive the names of the winners (first name, last initial and state of residence), send a self- addressed, stamped envelope to: Childhood Dreamstakes Winners c/o Comic Relief, Inc., 120 Broadway, New York, NY 10271, for receipt by no later than 30 days after the end of the dreamstakes.
